ALASKA HOUSE MAJORITY SEAL

Juneau – The Alaska House of Representatives has taken a bold and decisive step in demonstrating their unwavering and continued support for the Willow Project by voting 34 to 4 to join the amicus brief led by the Alaska Congressional Delegation. This resounding endorsement comes on the heels of an earlier unanimous vote in support of the project and a rally in Washington D.C. where Alaskan Representatives made their voices heard in favor of this critical venture.

It is time to put an end to the baseless lawsuits filed by extremist environmental groups, which only serve to impede progress and prevent Alaskans from reaping the benefits of the Willow Project. The economic and social benefits that the Willow Project will bring to the region are undeniable, and it is unconscionable that these groups would seek to obstruct progress and deny Alaskans the opportunity to thrive.

“We are taking a stand for the people of Alaska and standing up to those who would stifle progress and deny them the opportunity to prosper. By joining this amicus brief, we send a clear message that we will not be deterred by frivolous lawsuits and will continue to fight for the critical projects that will benefit Alaskans for decades to come.” Stated HOUSE SPEAKER CATHY TILTON (R-WASILLA)

It is time to focus on what truly matters – the future of Alaska and the well-being of its people. The Willow Project is a vital component of that future, and the Alaska House of Representatives is joining the amicus brief in the hope that it becomes a reality. It’s time to put an end to the obstruction and move forward with progress.
